Claire is the curator at The Drawing Center. I first met Claire when she visited my studio. The second time I met her was for this photo booth portrait. The first frame is the paper really close. It’s just ready for an abundance of ideas. In the next frame the curator hides behind the paper as the artist looks for advice and encouragement. In the third frame the paper acts as a division between curator and artist and finally, frustrated, the artist (me) eats the curator’s paper. Of course, this is just my bolognafied psychological interpretation. Be sure to check out Claire’s colleague Joanna.
