Joanna is a hybrid of someone I know and someone I don’t know. Let me explain. I first met Joanna when we were both getting physical therapy. Exciting, right? Our therapists introduced us (Heck, they are friendly guys). Joanna and I got talking and she told me she was the assistant curator at The Drawing Center. She was stunned that I knew what The Drawing Center was (What artist doesn’t know that?!) and that I had met her colleague Claire once before. The second time I met Joanna was for this photo booth portrait. Here, we decided to thumb wrestle and to our complete shock and awe, that’s Claire’s hand grabbing my thumb in the last frame.
