I don’t know Lawrence. When I started this project, I would always insist on paying for each photo. And I still do. Lawrence insisted he pay for the photo after realizing how much this project is costing me. I insisted back. However, in my distracted state, as other people posed for photographs, Lawrence convinced me that he would pay for half the photograph and he slipped me $1.50. A one dollar bill and two quarters. It was a surreal moment that I’ll never forget.
