I met Emily in May of 2000. We were both waiting in line at Tower Records to meet Billy Joel. She was standing in front of me on the line. I was determined to ask Billy Joel to participate in The Holy Bible Project. (He did). Ever since that day Emily and I have stayed friends. In fact, after I shattered my clavicle during my performance work “Tumbling Thimbles On Trimble,” Emily was one of my awesome friends that helped take care of me when I was stuck in a bed for days hooked up to an ice machine and high on vicodin.
